Outside of work, Dr. Abbey enjoys spending time with her pets, traveling with her partner and friends, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen.
She is committed to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle, incorporating both running and Pilates into her routine.
Dr. Abbey Scudds
Dr. Abbey grew up in Karratha, WA, and Blackwater, QLD, before moving to Perth. She played many sports before discovering her passion for cheerleading, which led her to compete at Nationals on the Gold Coast. Her personal experience with sports injuries ignited her interest in treating such conditions, enriching her practice with valuable firsthand insight.
She graduated from Murdoch University with a double degree in Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Bachelor of Clinical Chiropractic.
Dr. Abbey is proficient in various techniques, including Shockwave Therapy, Dry Needling, Taping, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation), Spinal Manipulative Therapy, Joint Mobilisation, and Soft Tissue Therapy. She believes in creating a personalised treatment plan that incorporates a multi-disciplinary approach tailored to each patient’s needs.
Committed to continually advancing her education, Dr. Abbey has completed additional training in supporting patients through pregnancy and caring for infants. She is passionate about helping patients reach their full potential and return to their favourite activities.
Dr. Abbey was also fortunate to provide voluntary care to the rural community of Broome, Western Australia, which showcased the remarkable results chiropractic care can deliver.
